  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 1/4 red onion chopped (can sub white onion)
  • 1 jalapeno deseeded, pith removed, and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/8 ts salt
  • 1/8 ts pepper
  • 1/8 ts oregano can also use Mexican oregano
  • 1/8 ts Carolina Reaper powder
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped (use leaves only)
  • lime juice a squeeze of lime juice from a slice of fresh lime

Step-by-Step Instructions
 

  • Prepare your Roma tomatoes, cilantro, red onion, and jalapeno. Roughly chop the veggies and leave the garlic cloves whole.
  • Place the chopped red onion, jalapeno, and garlic cloves into your food processor. Add the cilantro and dry seasonings (salt, pepper, oregano, and Carolina Reaper powder).
  • Add the chopped tomatoes followed by a generous squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  • Pulse several times to achieve your desired consistency while making sure all ingredients are well blended.
  • Savor it with your favorite tortilla chips! You might want a glass of milk close by due to the heat! Enjoy!
