  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef preferably 80% lean
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs plain
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Step-by-Step Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet or shape it in a loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
  • Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and spread the remaining glaze on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding finely chopped bell peppers or mushrooms into the meat mixture for added flavor and nutrition.
