Step-by-Step Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Chop the cold butter into cubes and cut it into the dry ingredients using a fork or pastry blender until the mixture has a coarse texture.
Add the kefir and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll out to 3/4 inch thickness and fold the dough in thirds. Flatten again and repeat the folding.
Roll the dough out to about 3/4 inch thick and use a biscuit cutter or glass jar to cut out biscuits.
Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 17-20 minutes, until golden around the edges. Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
